Founder Jim Odney is an entrepreneur himself, with direct experience
in founding, growing, operating, acquiring and selling his own companies.
After graduating from the University of North Dakota, Jim started his
career in the radio broadcast industry in sales and sales management,
bought two radio stations and grew them significantly before selling them.
He then founded an advertising agency and grew it to one of the largest
and most respected in the upper Midwest, with clients such as Target
Corporation, Bremer Bank, Boatmen’s Bank (now Nations Bank),
Coca-Cola (regional) and Super Valu.
Prior to founding Crescenda, Jim bought an ice cream and milk com-
pany, built the first national white milk brand called Deja Moo and was
named one of twelve “Movers & Shakers” in the dairy industry by Dairy
Foods magazine.
During his career, Jim has grown his companies through twelve strategic
acquisitions and the recruitment of talented management. He founded
Crescenda with the same single-minded desire for excellence in the part-
nerships developed, people hired and results achieved. Jim is involved in
every aspect of Crescenda clients’ business, working tirelessly to advocate
for them and deliver results.
